Stephanie Mitchko is a visionary leader whose contributions to the media and technology industries have consistently redefined what is possible. Her leadership has catalyzed transformative advancements from her patented and Emmy winning work to create the first cloud-based DVR, to being among the first cable players to formally partner with and deploy AI models and tools for media to help creative teams fully realize the stories they want to tell.
She is the Executive Vice President of Media Operations & Technology at AMC Networks where she is responsible for overseeing the company’s global technology and operations across all business units, including leading information technology, business intelligence, cybersecurity media operations, streaming product operations and customer service. Under Stephanie Mitchko’s stewardship, AI has evolved from being experimental to an essential cornerstone of media operations. Additionally, Mitchko leads the company’s data strategy, where she is transforming how data is utilized, empowering teams to make better business decisions.
Prior to joining AMC Networks, Mitchko was Executive Vice President and Chief Technology Officer of Charter Communications. Prior to that, Chief Technology Officer and Chief Operating Officer of CadentTV. Earlier in her career, Mitchko held several roles throughout Cablevision, including Senior Vice President of Video Infrastructure Software.
Mitchko’s achievements are underscored by her commitment to raising the consciousness of leaders for a more sustainable, equitable, and prosperous future. She co-authored a book titled “Mind Skills: Unleash Your Potential to Lead in the Big Leagues” and is a sought-after industry spokesperson sharing techniques for becoming the kind of leader the big leagues want and need. For over 10 years, she was a guest lecturer at Stern Graduate School and served on industry boards including the SCTE Foundation. Mitchko is a graduate of NYU-Poly holding a BS degree in Electrical Engineering.
