Michele Dean has served as the President and CEO of Suffolk Credit Union since June 2020 and is a highly respected financial industry leader. Her drive, innovative spirit and strategic insight have propelled the institution to new heights—with a relentless focus on delivering an exceptional member experience. 

With Michele at the helm, in 2023 Suffolk Credit Union achieved many notable milestones, including growing loan balances by 6.6% and surpassing $1.8 billion in assets. The credit union membership has grown to now include more than 70,000 members, while investment in its teams has doubled. Among other significant accolades, Suffolk Credit Union has been recognized as the ”Best Credit Union on LI” by members for two years in a row.

Michele Dean’s financial acumen and insights has been sought after by industry giants, with advisory roles at TransUnion, Experian and CMFG Ventures. Her guidance is shaping the landscape of the financial industry, from Fannie Mae to Invest Financial.

Her passion for finance is matched only by her commitment to the people she serves—both members of the credit union and the Long Island community. She currently volunteers on the boards of St. Catherine’s Hospital, Tesla Science Center, Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and the Energeia Partnership.
