  • Meditation for Medical Anxiety

    Meditation for Medical Anxiety

This meditation is designed to offer feelings of peace and quiet your mind during moments of medical anxiety. It can lower stress hormones like cortisol, ease anxious thoughts, and create a greater sense of relaxation, safety, and emotional balance. While your body might feel tense and your mind might be racing - this meditation is designed to allow your body to relax, your mind to be at ease and worries to subside.

  • Chair Yoga

    Chair Yoga

Gentle chair yoga offers an accessible way to begin moving your body. With the support of a chair and thoughtfully modified poses, you can improve flexibility, build strength, and enjoy movement at your own pace. Whether you are in infusion, at an airport, in a waiting room or just on your couch, this flow is designed to meet you where you are and offer supportive movement.  Thank you to Lauren Adamkiewicz, owner of Salt of the Earth Yoga for offering this healing flow.

  • Sound Healing

    Sound Healing

Sound healing uses soothing frequencies and vibrations to promote relaxation and support the body's natural stress response. By helping slow the heart rate and encourage the brain to shift into calmer, meditative states, sound healing can create a sense of ease, balance, and overall well-being. The crystal bowls offer vibrational resonance, as sound waves move through body tissues, offering a soothing, physical sensation.

  • Sleep Meditation

    Sleep Meditation

Sleep meditation is a gentle, supportive practice that helps calm the nervous system and lower stress hormones like cortisol, promoting a greater sense of relaxation. Meditation before going to sleep offers support for better deep sleep and REM cycles, which allows your body to heal better overnight. Thank you to Maryellen Winter, Director of Yoga Programming at Mondays Cancer Care for offering this healing practice.

  • Guided Breathwork

    Guided Breathwork

Slow-paced breathing stimulates the vagus nerve. This lowers cortisol levels and calms the brain's inner alarm system. Breathwork creates a feeling of relaxation and peace that supports your whole body. Deep breathing can also improve endurance, create easier decision making and lower your heart rate through increased oxygen delivery to your heart, lungs, and brain.

  • Reiki

    Reiki

Reiki is a form of energy healing that promotes inner calm, relaxation, and improved sleep quality. It has been found to help reduce nausea, fatigue and anxiety during treatment. Reiki works through energy healing by fixing energy paths to cure emotional and physical pain. Healers channel "ki" or life energy through their palms to heal imbalances like injury, pain and stress. Thank you to Peggy Nenos for offering this healing practice.

  • Gentle Stretch

    Gentle Stretch

Gentle stretching can help reduce stiffness, restore flexibility, and support comfort throughout the recovery journey. Gentle movement paired with deep breathing can help calm the mind, ease anxiety, and release physical tension. Stretching also supports your lymphatic system and improves blood flow through this gentle movement. Thank you to Lauren Adamkiewicz, owner of Salt of the Earth Yoga, for offering this healing movement.

  • Gratitude Practice

    Gratitude Practice

Gratitude causes your brain to release chemicals like dopamine and serotonin, which can lower anxiety and reduces the body's stress hormone levels. This practice can also lower blood pressure and support a steady heart rate. Adding a gratitude practice to your day can also improve sleep quality and diminish feelings like anger or envy.  Thank you to Dr. Erin Hurme, owner of Amityville Wellness, for offering this healing practice.

  • Caregiver Reset

    Caregiver Reset

As a caregiver, you might be putting your needs aside to help. Let this be a moment for you to relax and find stillness, both mentally and physically, so that your ability to provide care is never diminished. When caregivers feel supported, they are able to be more focused on the patient without worrying about physical or mental burnout. Thank you to Dr. Erin Hurme, owner of Amityville Acupuncture, for offering this healing practice.

  • Box Breathing

    Box Breathing

Box breathing activates the body’s natural relaxation response, helping calm the nervous system, lower cortisol levels, reduce blood pressure and promote a greater sense of physical and emotional calm. Slow, intentional breathing activates the parasympathetic nervous system, also known as the body’s “rest and digest” response, helping to slow the heart rate and lower blood pressure. Thank you to Lauren Adamkiewicz, owner of Salt of the Earth Yoga, for offering this healing practice.
